Malayalam Cinema saw some spectacular performances from its women actors in 2018, and what is surprising is that at least three actors who had made it to the list last year, have ensured a place for themselves on the roll this year as well. Here goes.

It flashes a light on a society that thrives on suspicion, where we have lost the basic impulse and inclination to trust and hold someone – even the dearest ones around – in staunch conviction.
‘Sakhavu’ is a talkathon of a movie that could inspire a few with those odd invigorating moments. And then there are people who believe that a piece of cinema should be much more than that, for whom it comes across more like an overly dramatic moral science lesson on communism, than anything else.
