‘Lonappante Mamodeesa’ is a decent, easy watch, that despite all its hitches retains its capacity to charm. It’s also an assertion as to how even the commonplace, at times, has the ability to draw and delight.
There are a few things that ‘Mazhayathu’ achieves without being sermonizing and its real resonance lies in its exploration of an issue that is frighteningly real. It flashes a light on a society that thrives on suspicion, where we have lost the basic impulse and inclination to trust and hold someone – even the dearest ones around – in staunch conviction.
‘Aravindante Athidhikal’ has a plot that is very basic, but filled with characters that are lively enough to sustain viewer attention. It might not be the most original movie ever either, but is a sweet retelling of a familiar tale, that still leaves a few giggles and a faint gulp down your throat.
